Liverpool born and bred, Peter has been speaking professionally for over forty years, mainly ‘after dinner’, drawing on the many and varied experiences of his thirty year police career. He’s shared a top table with many of the UK’s top sportspeople and comedy greats, as both speaker and master of ceremonies. Away from the entertainment side he’s hosted and spoken at multinational conferences in the Criminal Justice sector, and more recently has been speaking about the phenomenon of ‘lost knowledge’. A former senior investigating officer and head of training for Merseyside Police, since retiring he has set up a business conducting covert audits in the hospitality industry, worked for the NHS and acted as a consultant on the 2014 NATO summit. He’s climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, walked the Camino de Santiago three times by three different routes (two of which were the subject of his Camino Plodcast), and won the last ‘live’ PSA Comedy Night in 2019.
